This has to be my ultimate fun car and was quite reliable. Worst problem I had was locking myself in the car! The car had child locks on the front door!! (Colin Chapman had bought a lot of austin 1800 rear door locks cheap?). I had to open the window and open the door with the outside door...

Zappi + Intelligent Octopus in beta

This looks good news I have a Zappi 2.1 unit and an early SR MG5. Does anyone know if it is still possible to schedule a charge within the 6 hour off peak window (much like the existing octopus Go 4 hour window) My reason is that I have a few Tesla power walls that start to take power usually...

Nov 17th Budget - Tax impact for EVs

I always smiled when I received the tax notification on my old Bentley T1 they kept telling me to buy a car with a smaller engine etc to save on road tax!. Seemed odd to me as a 6.75 litre V8 cost zero to tax!!! (There are so many loopholes in the existing system) The ecconomy on the road tax...

    Brand Image

While it is nice to have the MG name back it is not so important. There are many other "trusted" main stream manufactures that have cars built in China, but many people are oblivious of the origins! Remember the original Samsung strap line about buying our product not our name ! Eventually...

Hi Regarding the shocking price of electricity if you are in the fortunate position to off set some of the cost using solar power you do have a chance to save the amount of "paid " electric you consume. I have a fairly simple system linked to a Zappi charger, I also redirect spare power to heat...
