    My understanding is that the car and phone need to be connected to the mobile phone network, since they communicate over that network. It's therefore possible that in parts of a car park you may not have a mobile signal.

    As with any car, move it a few feet every few weeks to ensure the load is evened out over the tyres. As @DBedford says look after the 12V battery. If necessary trickle charge it after 4 weeks. Hope your ankle heals quickly.

    But if you are getting the prompt to bind iSmart is not linking to your original account. If your original mobile number doesn't work try your email address.

    Are you using the mobile number (no zero) or email address that was originally used to set up the account? This seems to be the source of many problems.

    Have you checked that you have also agreed to the terms and conditions on the car's infotainment screen? Swipe the Home screen left, choose Settings then Privacy notice. Scroll right to to the bottom and set the switches to On.

    unbind car

    Bear in mind that is not the phone which is bound to the car but the account. If you know the login details (phone no or email and pw) you could use another phone. If not, then you need to contact MG as mentioned above.

    Sat Nav

    We used the in built Sat Nav to get to Hardwicke Hall in Derbyshire. We keyed in Hardwicke Hall, which it recognised but dumped us in an industrial estate. Right postcode, wrong place. Google knew the right directions. So make sure the destination you are directed to is the one you want to go...

    Your dealer said that 'Binding was not working at the moment'. I wonder if they had set up up an account and bound it but then something had gone wrong so they didn't realise what had happened. If you haven't already done so, try deleting and reloading the app
