In the age of social media and sensationalised stories in the media why would you be surprised that people would question this? It would be ridiculous and a little daft to believe everything you read on Facebook and if I posted a story like that I would be very surprised if people didn't...
I love Proper Job! Up until recently my Dad lived in Radstock and pretty much every time we visited I'd pop into Proper Job to stock up on little oddities I didn't even know I needed. He's now moved to Norfolk so it would be a very long drive just to get the odd cable or 2.
Good luck with the new purchase, I'm sure you'll love it! We had an Exclusive in red for just over 2 years and did 36,000 miles in it without any problems at all. Really loved that car and only traded it because the lure of the orange MG4 was too much!
Sounds like granny charging will be fine...
I would avoid cheap extension leads as they may not use the correct spec cable which is very important when carrying 10amps for a prolonged period. Toughleads always come highly recommended. Also make sure you fully uncoil the extension lead as leaving any part of it coiled will lead to it...

Really, you got that from my post? Suggest you read it again!
Fact is the network in the UK is improving but still needs to get much better. When we first got our EV if we were heading home from the west country we could top up at Birchanger (near Stanstead airport) and that was it, the last...
I think it's fair enough to unplug a car that isn't charging however if it's still charging then it's not up to you to decide how much charge that person 'needs'. I know a lot of people still regard 80% as being the upper limit on rapids however a lot of newer EV's can still take a decent charge...
Yep our mk1 ZS did that as well however MG brought out a BMS / charger update that changed this so it would charge when locked, well worth doing IMO.
Even without the update it will charge when unlocked if you're on a DC rapid charger.
