    Stick the cable in that, shove it in the little side pocket netted thing in the boot, put a hook in the boot or even dump it under a seat. Cheaper, easier to get to than having to open the bonnet, and probably much safer than the frunk solution.

    The pins sound correct, they're different lengths so that when you push it in the "data" pin connects last and disconnects first when you pull it out.

    Pretty certain the port in the mirror hump is a standard usb a connector.
