Had the MG5 (Mk1) 2nd service in July. 16k miles. Quoted £138 by one dealership and £80 by another (MG) about 10 miles away. Thought £80 was good plus, included the free AA membership thingy.
Yes, this seems to be possible to outwit the start up system by being too quick on the 'push' then gear select. Had me worried a couple of times but, turn it all off, then back on again.....
Have a Mk1 MG5 and can't say I've noticed it. It's clearly electrically powered so, perhaps something buggy going on with a setting? In my Ioniq 5, the 'Lane Assist' tries to violently throw me into the hedge/oncoming traffic at every given opportunity.....
Yes, it throws a wobbly every now and again but sorts itself out on the MG5. My own Ioniq 5 sometimes does similar and throws a 'whitey' but, again sorts itself out.
Just to add to the discussion. MG5 in yesterday for the KERs update. Around 3 hours, vehicle check and was washed too. No fuss and all rather pleasant team. West Cornwall based dealer.
Trouble is, it's a motoring offence to have no water in the bottle and come Jan/Feb with salted roads, that can cause havoc. Wouldn't be a massive ask to fit a sensor.
Not sure, perhaps they've spotted a market for Aus, NZ, India for the RHD too and want to work out where the most profit lies? i.e. which market is most miffed by not having the new model? Pretty sure that India don't fare very well with SW/estates.
