A Word of Praise for Just MG Keighley

Thanks I may consider them for future work.

Snow foam mark on MG4 plastic panel

Try white vinegar and water at a 50%/50% mix. That is known to be a good water spot remover. As per a previous thread then soak a kitchen paper towel in the vinegar and leave it on the panel for around 10 minutes to soak in fully into the stain. Then work in some Autoglym Super Resin Polish...

    Hello MG

No I didn't bother contacting them TBH, I just use the touch screen if needed. I suspect it may be the large number of contacts I have (they need a good clear out !!)

    Washing The MG4.

Autoglym SRP can help mask swirls so yes, it should make them look better short term. I always give mine a machine polish in Spring (inc B pillars), ready for the sunny summer months when swirls really show up. But even then swirls will appear quite quickly again 😒

    Hello MG

I have exactly the same issue !! (original Sept. 2023 R40 software).

At what SOC is one pedal driving available?

Its always been available (OPD) at a consistent 89% or below for me (using high regen).

    Washing The MG4.

After trying the above, you could always try somethiing like Autoglym Super Resin Polish to polish any remaining marks off and bring back the shine. Apply it with a damp MF mitt/cloth and work it in , and then buff gently off with a clean dry MF cloth (turning regularly),

    One Pedal Driving

The % seems to vary a bit for different people or perhaps depends on what regen mode you choose initially ?. For me (using high regen) it's always 89% and below when OPD works.

    Are the facelift cars better?

I find the rear wiper useful occasionally - e.g. dewy mornings, after parking during fine drizzle etc. I've also removed the middle head restraint as I very rarely have five passengers and visibilty is improved a fair bit IMHO. Is there a way to to do a single flick rear wipe (not wash) ...

    All Android users, advice please

Mine works fine every startup now .... the only issue for me at the beginning was that I think I loaded too many tracks onto it and it did'nt remember any of the tracks (similar to your problem ?) Once I reduced the number of tracks it worked fine. I have a 64gb USB C stick.

    Are the facelift cars better?

I'm not sure what your timescale is but there is talk of a potential major interior upgrade later this year (2nd half 2024). The mid 2023 changes were pretty minor IMHO :- https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/mg-4-getting-big-update-in-2024

Warning Chimes with no visual clue

Yes, mines a chime not a bong. I don't use the Satnav and have LKA turned off. I can literally be just driving on a straight road and I get a little chime with no speed limit change, no LKA, no passengers, no SatNav and no message pops up either 🤷‍♂️. I do have speed recognition on though so...

    Scratches on paint

If you trawl through "White Details" Youtube videos there is a good one somewhere where he applies self healing PPF to a car including the black glossy B Pillars. This does seem to work well as any swirls / scratches just disappear with a bit of heat (from a heat gun) and the B Pillars look...

Warning Chimes with no visual clue

I get this too .... has had me puzzled on a few occasions. I thought it might be a change in speed limit but no, not always 🤷‍♂️. I use CarPlay so not the inbuilt SatNav for me.

    Scratches on paint

They should polish up OK back to a decent standard. It's a common problem with the B Pillars on a lot of cars. You could try a fine polish by hand, but it's a job ideally done with a machine polisher and masking off the surrounding areas. 50/50 photo here 👍

First 250+ mile trip down south in the MG4 LR

Haha ... glad all went well and you used exactly the same two public charging stations I used on our trip down south. Not the cheapest chargers but at least they were very convenient for our trip 👍 Funnily enough I got better speeds at Donington in the far end slot. Full write up with...
