I have MG HS PHEV and I booked my service for July a few weeks ago, this is my last service on by service plan. I asked about a replacement plan and the dealer said as only have 15000 at 3 years it many better to save the money I spend on the plan as I do low mileage.
Hi
As the car has had this same fault 3 time I would start looking into having it replaced with a new car. The person work with used to be a BWW sale Manager for some years and this used to be the rule, now I do not know if covers all makes but look in to it.
The weather has not got that cold until today so it may be a good idea to show her how to charge the car at a charge station for top up. You may find that a top may have to been done on a fast charger, you be putting in 20 to 30 miles which will not cost too much but she will not get stuck.
Hi
could you use the one in the garden and do you know how this has been wired in, the lawnmower motor would be around the same wattage as the granny charger but the lawmower is only use for a short time. Would have it all checked by an electrician before using.
Here are some screenshots from the MG user manual
1 the 12v battery will be charged from the HV but there are some exceptions which over ride this. Page 23
2 read page 291
3 page 176 second paragraph
I have not seen any report back that on lose terminals or software updates but not rule them out.
Nothing ii wrong with it as if not balanced often enough you would get a message on the screen. only charge 4 weeks ago which tells me low mileage done so 12v battery is at risk. When you charge on 7kw the car battery management will do one if needed and the only way you know it’s done one is it...
Hello
you need to think more about your 12v battery more than the driving battery. Sounds like you do a lot of very short runs and this means your 12v may not say fully charged and now the cold weather is coming this could effect the 12v battery. Read the manual on this, also consult with you...
I just moved over to iPhone 15 pro max but I use adapter so use Bluetooth to connect the phone to CarPlay and work better than a wire. No plugging in to the phone when getting in to the car, auto connect to you carplay and my new phone has not dropped out.
Would be better if there was a point on the outside of the car that a power pack could be connected to put power into the 12v battery with out having to get doors open, just plug in and charge for ten minutes to get you started then open up. Also you charge the battery once a month to keep it...
This seems not to be working to top up the 12v battery automatically? Why not I would suggest all MG4 drive if you had this problem or not take your cars to back to your dealer and have this checked out. All that have had drained battery write to MG and include a copy of this and make a...
Simple the ICE only used for very short time and the engine starts the alternator takes over, now asking this battery to do something different. Some one said about using deep cell battery but they need an over night charge if they get low. One other was to use a lithium battery but small one...
I think the video is making some sense. the car relies on the 12v battery to run the 12v systems and if the main battery runs below the percentage it charge the 12v battery then the 12v battery is running all the systems. Let’s take the long journey coming back home New Year’s Day do not know...
Now a days a quick look on the internet and you can get a tyre replacement service to come out and replace the tyre 24 hrs a day not had to do it but I think that would be my route.
I would make sure the wall charger is compatible with as above solar and home battery and with octopus as well.
As to PCP given the car back at the end I think expensive driving better keeping the car and paying off or replace with new one.
