It was rapid charge 2 that done for us. We picked up our LR Trophy in March and used an instavolt rapid on the way home without issue. A few days later we went to a local shell garage which had a rapid and the fault occurred.
Dealer never really explained why it had happened or what they had...
Picking my car up in the morning from the dealer. Didn't tell me what they've done to fix it so will ask in the morning when collecting but glad to have it back. 6 days off the road total albeit it took me about 3 days to find a dealer who could take it and look at it straight away.
Sounds like MG in Portugal are better organised. I've spoken with MG assistance and all they seem interested in is sending the AA but they can't help. No advice/help getting a fresher to take the car and no offer of a courtesy car. Will try then again tomorrow
I'm having a 'mare. Car is still on my drive. Can't find a dealer locally who can take the car before 6th April. Nobody seems to want to answer me when I ask about a hire/courtesy car. AA seem to know less about EVs than my nan... Not a great start and not filling me with confidence for the next...
Happened to us today as well. Almost same as you... This could be my post. Only difference is mine did start to charge and mine happened too late to be towed to dealer so its on my drive for now. Getting towed back with hazards on etc has now caused 12v to drop below 12v so now we are getting...
Which branch of Chorley did you order through?
Spoke to a dealer and he explained that albeit 2 people may have ordered from a company under the same umbrella (Chorley, Arnold Clark etc etc) the orders are done by branch and then below that a salesperson level. So for example if we ordered...
It was pretty much all motorway. All in standard mode and driving as I would in any other car. Miles/kwh was about 2.9 but since we got home and been town driving its up at 3.8 and seems to be climbing
Picked the ZS EV Trophy up on Tuesday. Experience at the dealership a breeze. Had dramas with my insurance company refusing to insure me on the car so had to change company. Car did the 260 mile journey home beautifully. One stop to feed us and the car and got home with 40%. Cars been a range...

These are a few of the ones the main dealers have/do offer for hundreds of £ which you can pick up online and apply yourself for a fraction of that.
There are a lot of others on the market. I only have experience of Supagard which I found good but certainly...
Chorley Group. I think it more likely that these are spares that they either ordered for customers who cancelled or as stock / dealer cars. As for priority and matching existing orders I suppose that makes sense but also factor in when people may have ordered.
Which dealer did you order from...
Had a similar thing. Delay after delay....then a call from the dealer saying i can wait until May, more likely June for the car I ordered (white ZS EV LR trophy) or take a Red one (£695 extra for tri coat paint) and have it 2nd/3rd week of March. I took him up on his offer so hoping to collect...
Its common for domestic houses in continental Europe to have 3 phase whereas here in the UK as its single phase they've only given a 7kw onboard AC charger.
When I first enquired at Chorley Group they quoted late Dec delivery if I ordered quickly. By the time I had quotes and decided on model and colour etc they were quoting Jan. Then after I ordered it was Jan but possibly Feb.... At this point I said if its arriving in Feb I'd rather take it in...
Got confirmation of my order from Chorley Group today. Went for the Trophy in white. We was torn between the silver and white but white won out on the family vote and the BMW I am trading is silver so nice to change it up. Interestingly our first ev (zoe) was white.
Was told end of Jan as a...
