    Fair enough, guess there's only a limited number of encryption keys for the signal to use.

    Not in any meaningful sense. I have their registration number, but I doubt the local dealer would even care - they had no idea about software updates for charging or anything like that when I last spoke to them, they just follow the instructions sent in emails by head office.

    Our cars were similar, but not enough to be mistaken for one another. Doubt it would work, but I'm a bit glad it's not happening to everyone!

    Leaving the park Saturday with the family, I noticed that whenever I clicked my keyfob for our MG, the horn on another in the car park would go off too. I was pressing the lock button, and the other car was already locked. Didn't want to get accused of anything, so didn't try the unlock button...
