I would test this if I were at home but I do not believe the car will alarm. I have often put my key it's Faraday pouch after removing shopping and forgetting to lock the car. However, the camping circumstance described above has caused me to think about the 'Ready' and 'Powered On' states.

The technician may be using OTA to describe communication via the iSmart App. Other than that I agree with @tsedge, the technician is a little challenged in the knowledge department.
I posted believing @ging353 had an MG4. However I believe my analysis to be what will happen in an MG4.
Please see below. A warning is required if there is any doubt as to the state of the 12v battery.
Can a common theme be identified?
For example, were all the car's manufacture in a particular month? Or were they charged using a 3-phase supply? Were they of particular colours? At what mileages did the problem occur? Did the problem arise after/before the first service?
One would hope MG...
I suggest you vent your feelings to the dealer who may tell MG. The fact that nowhere is there a warning not to close the door is a worry.

Did the dealer drive the car over a good distance or did they just do a static...
This appears to be a problem with 46. Search for thread by 'Neilf' on the steering wheel button. He has a video too. It appears the update may not have been successfully applied.
Please can you tell us what infotainment version number you have and whether the button worked previously before any changes were made, eg at a service.
The SatNav seems to draw a circle around a school and if you penetrate that circle the SatNav will warn you, even if you can't get there. It only warns you if the SatNav is running. I've had bongs regularly in some places and then they disappear without the SatNav running. Just a feature.
