    Thanks, I have only lifted bonnet to check water levels and top up washer water, looks too complicated for me. Hopefully I will never need to jump start.

    I know thats what should happen, but I have a Toyota iQ for emergencies, just lately, i.e. the last 18 months I have not used it so much and the battery goes flat, if I connect it to the battery which I have done in the past when jump starting from another vehicle it does not work, disconnect...

    Hi, Yes thats for booster cables, mine is a booster pack with 1 red cable and 1 black cable and states connect red cable to positive terminal of battery and black cable to any engine bolt. This would be imposible on an EV, perhaps a part of the body would be OK?

    Yes I would like to know if a battery back jump start would work, if I use it on my other petrol vehicle you connect the live lead to the battery and the negative lead to a part of the engine (not the negative of the battery), if it does work on the EV, where do you connect the negative lead??
