I rejected my zs ev 3 weeks old due to bms update. I have just bought a new mg5 and love it.

Mg need to sort out the bms issues fast. Who in there right mind would buy a car with faulty bms which you have to charge possibly 100 times to get it working properly.

I'm also fed up and moved to kona. Just ordered ford mustang mach e. Mg poor quality and rubbish updates especially bms.

In all fairness the mg is an excellent car, it has its faults as any other. I'm spending £11000 more on buying a kona but it is a better car but the mg is far better value for money and I know the mg makes more sense.

Had my new zs 3 weeks and returned it for a full refund earlier this week having read all the problems associated with it on this forum. Pick up a new kona tomorrow on a 3 year lease 10k a year £301@ month.

It did not come from the factory with comfort 2 update. They absolutely did not do bms update as it was pulled by mg. These are facts.

Battery is 100% 456volts Perfect.

Comfort 2 update done at dealership before handover bms update pulled.

If you read the original post its all explained. Comfort 2 update nothing else.

My car has not had the latest bms update, it's only ever had comfort 2 after leaving the factory. I asked for it at pdi but mg had prevented dealers from installing it due to complaints. Comfort 2 done at dealership not the factory.

Spoke too soon, balancing ended. 2 hours. Not too bad.

I think it's going to take 5 hours costing a fortune to charge it's now consuming 600 watts
