I currently have MG5 LR and honestly can’t see why you would need power tailgate. But I have ordered an MG HS PHEV which has power tailgate as JohnInFrance has said it’s nice if fitted as standard but not an issue if not. Plus if it would cost £500 I would keep that in your pocket. IMO

You would think they could manufacture pleated corners to allow the material to adjust to the floor mounts when you place in the lower position? Just an observation.. :)
