Not sure if this is a silly question or not, but by discharging the battery a little and then doing a charge to equalise, will that damage the battery in the long term?
Car charged and balanced. Took less time than it did over the weekend, but rather than showing me 444v, it’s now showing 443v??
Any idea why the voltage has decreased since my last balance charge rather than go up? (FYI it’s currently 7 degrees outside, so wouldn’t say that’s too cold)
So, just plugged in and I had 88% on the battery. Going to balance charge tonight and see whether my voltage increases higher than the 444v that I had on my last two charges
Pic below of the mileage and voltage when I plugged in.
As an aside, those who have had the new BMS update and have been rebalancing their cars multiple times, have you seen the voltage increase? If so, how many charges did it take for you to notice it? I’ve done 2 charges and the voltage in my car has stayed the same
FYI, I sure it was established that the can can take a max of something like 6.6kw on a 7kw charger.
Regarding the rest of the issues with charging, no idea.
Yes it was - didn’t think of that -which would make sense why the range was lower.
Still doesn’t explain why the voltage was lower in the evening than the morning though. Always thought that was static, regardless of the weather, when it’s fully charged
So this is odd...
I put my car onto charge at 12:00 pm and it was 92%, charging at 6kwh. Had a look at 4:30pm and it had finished equalising. I unlocked the car and then it started equalising again so I left it a bit.
Had a message on my Ohme app that the charge had finished, so I checked the...
