Based on personal experience, the above recently started keeping the car alive, charging the 12V and in the case of the latest edge build, the 12V reading was 5.4kV! Returning to the main branch resulted in correct idle and shutdown of the car's systems.

IIRC there's code in the MG fork to stop that from happening anyway because drainage happened in a big way, so I think it is safe to turn off OVMS's own feature.

Do you have power management turned on? Mine's off I think by default.
