Drop the developer a message - they got back to me pretty quick when something wasn’t right with MG5. Also, make sure you’re not connected to ABRP when trying to connect to Car Scanner too - pretty sure that won’t work. I had the VGate one working fine.

The SOC shown in ABRP isn’t 100% accurate compared to the dashboard - it’s interpreting the OBD value which leaves around a 5% buffer at top and bottom. I submitted an initial translation formula that was okay but limited by data I had - I’ve given them a more accurate one now which should...

This is the one I've been using with iOS ABRP on MG5LR for past 3 months with no issues I can think of. Can't guarantee it's the best for ZS but it does what it need to for me

I get the feeling they're a very small operation - so possibly order a small, cost effective batch from their manufacturer and then judge demand. Placing an additional order to be made if it sells out - so, as a guess, I'd expect it to appear for sale again since it's sold out so quickly...

Car Scanner will show battery SOC (not exactly the same as dashboard display due to top & bottom buffers) and SOH. Also shows temperature of battery pack, voltage & current (same values shown in dash). I don’t think the MG gets quite as much data as some other brands Via ABRP, you can see...

They bolt into existing holes. Apparently. Not actually seen one yet.

Allegedly, there are frunks for a few different makes/models in development for release in May - but it's nearly June so really not sure if/when they'll appear.

There’s a thread kicking about with similar solutions to this - the ZS frunk has a bit more width but unsure what the final version of MG5 from this company will look like. Possibly not too dissimilar to these box solutions.

From their Instagram thread on this, Ev Accessories Ireland are suggesting that the MG5 Frunk might be coming soon too. Which is nice.

Jump to 31:05 in this video - they show the QR codes on the car's infotainment display (admittedly this is the connect model). iSmart Lite should be available for non-connect models but no idea if this is the same app or not 🤷‍♂️

Other than the big one connected to the HV battery 😜 - best not connect into that though 💥

Had my MG5 done today - by local company near Glasgow who do both nearby MG franchises as well as every other main dealer marque including Porsche. There was an HS in getting tints when I was there too - guy said he’d had one dealer requesting 10 MGs tinted earlier this week. Popular cars!

Yeah, I suspect based on cost and the complexity of supporting any one of several ports, the easiest option is to only allow one for CarPlay.

I suspect it’s related to systems like CarPlay only supporting one phone connected at a time?
