    Off peak charging cost

Octopus agreed to put me on one of last year's Go Faster rates after a rather long faff to get changed over to them. So from February 1st I've got 25p day and 5p night from 21.30 to 1.30. I think I've been very fortunate as that day rate stands to be lower than the variable rate come April...

    MG5 LR Dashcam placement.

They fit mine at the Halfords in Longwell Green although they looked a bit confused to begin with

    Auto main beam

Yeah can someone say how I have it "OFF" and how I then turn it back "ON" because I am more confused than I was!

    Auto main beam

Honestly mine seems to be a bit all over the place, sometimes it's on auto, other times it's not. I am sure I am doing it, but how I have no idea!

    The 'Three Cars' icon

Definitely no noise on my brakes when being applied! You wanna get that looked at! I think it's definitely different strokes for different folks. For me, putting on MG Pilot on the motorway is the most relaxing driving experience I have had. I don't want to drive on the M25, it's full of...

    The 'Three Cars' icon

It's not the most straightforward implementation to be honest. Once you're used to it, it becomes second nature.

    The 'Three Cars' icon

I think that AAC cannot be activated under a certain speed. Whereas MG Pilot works all the way to a stop and if you'd previously set a speed it can be resumed from standstill.

    The 'Three Cars' icon

lol So tomorrow, Drive at whatever speed and press the button on the bottom left stalk. Then the usual up and down to get it to the right speed. Then when somewhere appropriate (ie a road with decent markings) pull that stalk back towards you twice (you'll know its right because it bounces...

    The 'Three Cars' icon

Was that lane assist as part of Mg Pilot ie when you pull back the AAC stick back twice? Or just Lane Assist on it's own?

    The 'Three Cars' icon

The 3 cars seems to relate to when Lane Assist is active when using MG Pilot. Green means it's locked to the lane, yellow means it can't see any line markings although it may well use the car in front to stay in lane. But if not you should notice the feel of the steering has changed. Off is...

    MG5 Balance charge every time?

I currently have my Hypervolt set to charge for 4 hours overnight (in anticipation of moving to Octopus Go). Once I get below 25% I will plug it in and get my 4 hours charge, then drive till I hit 25% again. If I know I will be doing a longer journey I will just charge it fully the day/night...

MG5 owners only. Post on here what you think of the car.

MG5 LR thoughts after a month. Coming from a Petrol Hyundai ix20. External Looks aren't particularly an area I care about, I there are some designs I wouldn't want to be seen in, but at (nearly) 40 the lack of street cred driving an estate isn't something I care about. It looks fine...

No it makes sense as to that's why they did it. But I wish I could turn it off!
