Not sure if this is any help, but the following report found it way into my Twitter feed....
https://investinchina.chinaservicesinfo.com/s/202209/15/WS6322de8d498ea274927a353a/saics-new-ev-to-help-china-become-leading-vehicle-export-power.html
I would be very surprised if SAIC have just put...
It's because the MG4 is an 'in house' design/build.
The ZS is partly based on the Mk1 Vauxhall/Opel Mokka and therefore uses parts from that car. Having spoken to my lady 'in the know', SAIC are struggling to get wiring harnesses/chips to the required spec.
Don't forget that the ZS was...
This is where a service plan helps, you spread the cost so it isn't such a shock (no pun intended!) - although not sure how it works if the dealer is no longer here there?
Do all MG dealers use the same service plan provider (like EMaC)?
On the wiring loom front, yes. A number of OEMs get their looms from a manufacturer in the Ukraine (not sure where SAIC get theirs from).
The looms themselves are made bespoke to each OEM and are often bespoke to each model!
The images of the 'next' MG ZS are NOT from MG!
The are from avarvarii future cars illustration who are used a lot for their "exclusive images".....
Don't be surprised if the next ZS looks nothing like it!
One thing I don't quite understand - maybe I'm being dim...
If I use the new car locator on the MG website it shows 244 cars available, why are these not being paired to the orders...
All design work will be done by SAIC Design in Marylebone, I could get my dog to draw a ZS replacement and it would be just as likely!
Meanwhile, SAIC confirmed there will be 16 (not a typo) new models on the 'Nebula' (MSP) platform by 2025....
(not all of them will be sold here!)...
There are 1000 cars in the first batch (unloading at Southampton now) and another 1000 for October delivery.
Eurasian Highway is due on the 10th having spent two days in Shanghai....

Felixstowe don't 'do' cars anymore as its not classed as a 'just in time' port.
However, if you're waiting for something electrical (that's not a car!) or a bicycle then it will have a small knock on effect.
