I know I don't drive a 5 so apologies, but this is the one Thinkware F200 pro I got for the ZS, it allows you to set a time for it to run after switch off, it also monitors the battery voltage. it works for me and no problems after a year of use.

I am with EdF, I switched and it took 2 days to move tariff within EdF, the MG is charged overnight using the scheduler on my wall box, the MG has been left clear of any scheduling. Just remember EdF don’t time shift their hours for daylight saving so 12 - 5 GMT, 1 - 6 BST

I’m with you I fully condition and charge twice a year in early spring and late autumn using the Ctek, never had to replace a battery since doing it, might just be lucky.

Any work on plastic in this weather might help with an input from a fan heater to warm it up, plus your hands might thank you

If you run short there are 10 x 350Kw chargers just off the A34 at Redbridge park and ride, near Oxford.
