    7 year warranty.....?

If youre buying a lead acid battery for £20 it's either rubbish or stolen, no way can it be a decent legitimate battery. It is most definitely worth going to the dealer and getting MG to pay for it.

    7 year warranty.....?

Thats what MG say, I would suggest that the reality is otherwise.

    7 year warranty.....?

You absolutely should be bothered, its the only way to get manufacturers to toe the line. If you keep walking away, they'll keep letting you, (why wouldn't they?).

Not so “great news about your vehicle “

Yes it is but they dont have the cafe part any more to the best of my knowledge. Wetherspoons do a decent breakfast and tea / coffee etc or Reeds is my choice on the riverfront.

Not so “great news about your vehicle “

Were actually based in the town centre on Silver Street, we have an I.T. shop LincIT. It's currently shrouded in scaffolding as part of a listed building / heritage refurb etc. I'm not there most of the time but if you are coming over to Gainsborough I'm happy to come over to Marshalls Yard...

Not so “great news about your vehicle “

I wouldnt agree. My BMW i3 is 7 years old, 95,000 miles on the clock and hasnt been off the road ever. Only a minor issue with drivers door window and that all. Our Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV did 190,000 miles over the 8 years of our ownership and again, no issues (not full EV but spent a lot of...

    7 year warranty.....?

If you feel something has failed that it would be reasonable to expect it to last longer and MG refuse to cover it under warranty, take them to court. I have done it many times in my past, mostly with Renault and always found it to be a straight forward service, easy to win. Our last Ford Galaxy...

MG5 review after covering 120,000 miles.

It depends on a few things. If you start your day with a full battery charged at home and only top up using a rapid charger to get home again that will make a huge difference. If you use the Tesla superchargers wherever you can theyre half the price of most of the others, so maybe not quite so...

    Binding second hand 2021 model

What happens if you set the Zappi to fast and plug the car in, does it charge straight away? if so then the car isnt the issue. Have you got any schedules set in Zappi? if yes, delete them, set the mode to ECO+, plug the car in again does the Octopus app send you a schedule (displayed in the...

Charging my New MG5 at home

Agreed but putting the incentive onto the car rather than charging points would make it available to many more people?

Charging my New MG5 at home

Whilst it would be nice to have the 'incentive' it precluded a lot of people unfairly eg people with no driveway or ones in rented accommodation etc. An incentive on car purchase was a much better idea IMHO, everyone making the move to an EV benefited.

Charging my New MG5 at home

It really is down to your daily mileage if the granny charger will be sufficient. Most people get a wallbox installed and go on to an EV tariff. I would recommend MyEnergi ZAPPI wallbox and Octopus Go Intelligent tariff, the Zappi talks to Octopus to get cheap energy during peak time and you...
