Did something similar to my Honda. Mobile repair guy charged me £100 to fix and my damage was more extensive. Repair was invisible.

They said something like…. As the gap is quite small, which it is, they will remove the tray to re fix the fasteners in a sequence to close the gap and use if needed a heat gun to shape the tray. May or may not be an official MG fix ?? Or not So long as it’s sorted I’ll take it.

Managed to bind my car this afternoon so yes an issue at their end which is now resolved

Update tried binding just now and all is good so a problem with their servers??

Just had confirmation from the dealer I will be getting a type 2 cable. I asked the question last week as I was told at purchase time it would come with a type 2. On that basis I bought a granny. The sales person spoke to someone and all sorted.

Just received my Santander PCP paperwork and included is the reg, chassis number and date of manufacturer, which is saying 26/10/2022. Hope some of the issues seen have been rectified at production................time will tell.

Let’s see if they honour the provision of a type 2 cable which was agreed at time of sale. I see others are getting granny cables now. I’ll post on my experience and whether the fixes have been done before delivery.
