    Battery health after 1 year?

Owned the car for 1yr and 4mths, have driven 31,000 miles, combination of home (100%) and rapid (80%) charging, SOH at second service 99.8%

    Accident due to TJA/ACC use.

Hill Hold works most of the time with ACC but just occasionally it doesn't and the car will roll back. It caught me out once as I thought I had stopped and went to press the A/C button when I suddenly perceived movement out of the corner of my eye and slammed my foot on the brake just in time...

Android Auto Assistant Not Working....but only when in motion..........

Swipe the main screen to the left, go into setting sand turn off "Hello MG". It will not fix it immediately as the car need to completely turn itself off, but next time you use the car it should be working. This method resolved the issue for me and it hasn't come back. Another useful tip, if...

    Bewildered

If you are having issue with Android Auto displaying in daylight mode rather than dark mode at night, if you toggle the automatic headlights off then back on it will force the screen to read the ambient light levels again and set the Android Auto screen to dark mode if it is dark.

    Charging

I always charge at home to 100%, I need the range and use my car daily so it never sticks at 100% for more than 12hrs, I only stick to the 80% rule with the faster chargers. I am up to 29,000 miles and the last service showed no issues for battery health. So I agree with what you say here. And...

    Type 2 cable recommendation

Yep I can confirm the early MG4's are 11KW AC (after I bought the 22KW cable). I used it down at Corfe Castle West Street Car Park last week and got 10.7KW out of the MER charger which I was well pleased with. But I have only used the cable three times in the last 14mths.

    Driving to Cornwall

Just watch out for the A30 roadworks, its basically dug up between Redruth and Penzance. There are Osprey and FastNed chargers in Camborne, but if you charge up at the open Tesla chargers in Linton you'll get an excellent price and should be able to get to Penzance and back to Linton on a single...

    Driving to Cornwall

The beauty of an EV is that it uses very little electricity in a queue unlike the ICE cars that chop through the fuel (unless they have the A/C off and they have auto stop start available) so yer there may be a queue a Stonehenge but it will have limited impact on your range.

    Android Auto Keeps Disconnecting

Yep, I've not changed the cable since I bought the vehicle. But I did notice that some cables don't work at all.

    Android Auto Keeps Disconnecting

Following the last update which was R43 I think, the car occasionally throws Android Auto out and you have to unplug and plug back in. Weird thing is that it does it a lot on some journeys and not at all on others.

Leaving the car for most of February

I left mine for 3 week last February at Heathrow and it was fine when I got back, best of all being bright orange it was dead easy to spot in the car park :-)

Disappointing GRIDSERVE, Weird GeniePoint and great but expensive MFG experience today

That Ionity site is nice and much easier to access than the Gretna Green Ionity site just 10miles north!

Range decrease due to cold weather [merged thread]

It's just winter, the range goes up and down with the temperature.

Starting our MG4 Trophy, you have to put into drive, back into park, then do it again.

I've found a number of annoying bugs if you don't let the Infotainment system boot up before doing anything or if you lock and unlock the car is too quickly (I do this to get Android Auto to go in to night mode). On one occasion the screen locked completely with a message about the functions...

Android Auto Assistant Not Working....but only when in motion..........

As per the contributor above (bfayers), I just turned off "Hello MG" locked the car up for the night and when I opened the car up and sat in it was working. I never turned BlueTooth off so I assume if it is all working for you turn BlueTooth back on.

    Software update just installed

Mk1 MG4 EV Trophy Extended Range (18,500 miles, 11mths old) So I had the R46 revision 23rd October. It fixed a number of issues, but it also introduced five new ones: Issues I found R46 has introduced: DC Charging Handshake Failure On Tesla Chargers Select the stall in the app, then select...

Bluetooth randomly disconnects from phone after a few days

After the most recent update to my car, it appeared to stop, that was October 23 its now Nov 14 and it has happened only once where as it was happening potentially twice a day. So I see that as some success. If you haven't already, can I suggest you go on to your phone and remove all the "MG"...

    Pre heat

So I messed with this the other day because my car (MG4EV Long Range Trophy) is about to go for its first service and I have a have a big long list of software bugs that I am hoping will get fixed (stop laughing). Anyway, a few things I figured out: 1. Can' do anything till you have your car...

Software update woes broke my car

Not sure if I understood the issue correctly here, but if you want to get the car to understand commands in Android Auto you have to turn of "Hello MG" under the "system" section doing that enables "Hey Google" commands including phoning and Maps navigation. Perhaps this might give you something...
