Auto sensing wipers on my MG5 have a mind of their own, as they did on my Mk1 MG3. I'm assuming it's a cheaper or more basic technology than in other cars to help keep the prices keen - on my Kia Niro for instance, which I had before the 5, they seemed to work much better. My Mk2 MG3 did better...
