Where did you get this done? I am still waiting for the good weather to start my chrome delete. Plan on doing the badges and the silver panels on the doors and bumpers #killthechrome!
It looks exactly the same as what N2STY posted, even did the boot light in exactly the same way 👍
that strip of light in the boot makes SOOOOOOOO much difference, I can actually see what I am doing in the boot at night now. If anyone is interested in the how for the boot light I simply put some...
I went with the LED strips that
N2STY recommended, and some cheap splice connectors. Looks really good and the adhesive on the strip is very good indeed. The centre roof unit popped off no problem too and the headlining Velcro albeit stiff was manageable and popped right back into place
see now would it really have cost MG that much to put something like this in there? would have really added to the appeal of the car by not wasting all that space under the bonnet
yeah I thought you said that your windows had one touch up as well.. The sunroof has one touch open and close, so I would have at least thought that you could close that via the app :( but no, it just very unhelpfully tells you that it is wide open when I am over a mile away from the car lol
You must have a unicorn of a car then because only the drivers window has one touch up and down... you have to hold the switches for the rest of the windows to make them close.
As far as any of us know the facelift ZS EV lacks anti pinch sensors on the other three windows which is why they don't have "one touch" operation for closing them, which is a requirement for global closure.
I would imagine that they are all the same motor mounts, so potentially could fit the drivers window motors and sensors in the other three windows... although I wouldn't like to know what the availability of parts would be for MGs at the moment :ROFLMAO: and even then you would need to have...
It will likely be missing the anti-pinch sensor, or at least a different motor without the ability to detect "pinch" Plus the window switches on the other three doors are only two stage down, not two stage up which is how the drivers window switch is.
no manufacturer recommends repairing a run flat after it has been driven flat... the damage done to the side wall will severely decrease the structural integrity of the tyre... run flats should always be replaced after they have been driven on whilst flat.
It is likely due to the fact that only the drivers window has one touch closure... likely due to the fact that the other windows don't have anti-pinch, something that is required for global closure iirc. May be able to be done in software, likely some hardware changes needed in the way of window...
I get the feeling that runflats will be hellishly noisy on a car like the MG. Because of the lack of engine noise the car tends to amplify all the road noise, and the harder tyres will make that even worse...
no, we just have some very misinformed people... insurance companies have lists of "modifications" which need to be declared and I have never seen a radio antennae featured on any list from any company I have used... it is normally for performance modifications, or drastic body modifications...
From watching the installation video there is no need to drill holes and the installation is completely reversible... this is always the case with aftermarket electrics, cables will always need to be run unfortunately.
