After returning from a few days in Berlin yesterday, driving back from Edinburgh and putting the car in the bay at the side of the house (because Mrs. Guru's ICE car was on the drive), I moved ERO from the side back onto the drive for a recharge.

In the photo, what's obviously happened is that the arrow sign has been turned - either by accident (lorry side mirror impact) or by some wag having a jolly jape. It should be more in line with the other sign on that pole. :)
Agreed. Changing the lead driver to someone who isn't actually going to be the lead driver is known as Fronting. It usually happens more at the other end of the scale (parent fronting for teenage son as premiums are scary high), but the same applies here.
In my case drilling the hole was pretty simple ... out the back of the cupboard where the CU resides and through the exterior wall. Cable run was then very simple. (See photo .. the hole is just before the gate post/just after the drain downpipe): :)
