    Broken down - any ideas

Repairs must be completed in a reasonable time. There is no clear definition of reasonable, but I believe the guidance notes to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 indicate that 30 days should apply, in the absence of any other prior agreement between the parties. At a minimum I would be demanding a...

    New X Power Vibe Poll.

Ergo the last option is pointless - it adds nothing (useful) to the mix. ;)

    New X Power Vibe Poll.

I can't vote ... well, I can, but it would be pointless. ;) However I'd just like to suggest that the 1st and last poll options are basically the same. As the last one currently has no votes then I'd suggest removing it. :)

    Thinking of ordering one

... and salary sacrifice (probably) reduces your pension contributions - something to bear in mind if you're in a Defined Contributions pension scheme. (As opposed to a Defined Benefits scheme - often referred to as a Final Salary scheme - reduced contributions matter less in that case).

    Xpower collection tips

It can happen if the car is transported with under-inflated tyres ... but part of the mitigation is to over-inflate the tyres for transportation/shipping. 👍

    Xpower collection tips

One would suggest that weeks on a container ship travelling from China to the UK is more likely to cause flat spots than a few hours or days strapped to a transporter. 🙄

    VED Levy WTF!!

Wait - you genuinely believe that any income from VED is ring-fenced for road maintenance? 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

    VED Levy WTF!!

Carry on with your mistaken belief that VED (or RFL as you prefer) has anything to do with road maintenance - it doesn't, it's just another form of general taxation ... and has been since 1937. ;)

    VED Levy WTF!!

That's just typically poorly worded .gov.uk web pages ... there is no road fund licence in the UK - AT ALL! At least not in respect of consumers licensing their vehicles - VAT disbursement has nothing to do with VED and consumers.

    VED Levy WTF!!

They get around that by called it Vehicle Excise Duty ... Road Fund Licence hasn't existed since 1937 - before pretty much any of us were born. (Before even my parents were born - and I'm 59).

    VED Levy WTF!!

I think there's a thread already in General Chat regarding VED and EVs. :) https://www.mgevs.com/forums/general-chat-forum.3/

    MG4 X Power First 1000 Miles.

Something doesn't quite scan right ... how can you have used 1159.62 kWh yet got 2503 kWh free? ;)

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

As I recall it is Month/Day/Year, so yours was November 12th 2023.

Collected today - bitter sweet experience

I think I asked this previously ... how did you pay for the car, and what was the total paid? (>30k or <30k) If <£30k and you paid any part of it by finance then you have Section 75 protection. (s75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974). This makes the credit provider jointly liable with the seller...

    Collected yesterday

I assume you mean 2.1 miles/kWh? That's low ... but it very much depends on a lot of factors - temperature, elevation changes, driving style, hoon-factor. 😎 Re. the undertray - that looks similar to the X-Power I looked at in the showroom when I was last at my dealer.

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65to75mph

If you can't find the CoC, check the QC label underneath the parcel shelf ... the date on that may be fairly close to your car's build date.

And if it's the steering damper kit ... it doesn't work.

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

Was there not a plastic wallet in the glovebox with a Certificate of Conformity inside? That has the build date. Another option (if the CoC isn't there) is to look at the QC label underneath the parcel shelf ... that probably gives a close-enough clue as to the build date.

Collected today - bitter sweet experience

Just to clarify ... it is the CRA that matters here ... the Consumer Rights Act 2015. :) The CCA (Consumer Credit Act 1974) would only apply if you were seeking to invoke Section 75 protection (which makes the credit provider jointly and severally liable with the seller for the performance of...

Collected today - bitter sweet experience

MG UK (legally) have nothing to do with this ... this is between you and your seller. (MG UK sell the car to the dealer, who then sells it to you). The dealer will be trying to get MG UK to approve it so that they can get their money back from MG, but that legally has nothing to do with your...
