    Octopus Energy Saving Sessions?

Same here. The financial savings, for me at least, during the trial sessions were pretty minimal though. I will still give this new version a try though.

Someone is on a 'normal' standard tariff, why would they buy an MG4 in this example?

I know lots of EV owners who do not have solar panels. I include myself in that.

    Waterproof cover/shelter

I put a metal hose tidy above my home charger..... Helps protect the charger plus used to keep the cable sorted.

Official Plug In Car Grant (PICG) Thread

To be fair, the Tories did run EV grants for many many years before closing the deal.

The grant was always going to be temporary. And in many ways it resulted in artificially increased list prices. Quite a few manufacturers somehow managed to reduce their list prices when the upper threshold was reduced. It did it's job.... Getting people into EVs. The market will do the rest.

So removing a grant means we are being ripped off? Never heard that before.

But are we being ripped off in Britain when it comes to the MG4?

Possibly. But surely these are cheaper to run? And have a better company image etc?

Very good value. Well done. Begs the question.....Why did Amazon ditch them when so new with so little miles? It's like buying a demonstrator, but better.

    Lots of free electrons

I use a combination of free charging and Octopus go faster. As an exercise, I kept track of costs and mileage in December last year, using the free chargers more than normal. 3600 miles, £32.

Not sure go faster will offer you an early evening slot, although definitely worth a try. The earliest I could get was 21.30 to 02.30 every night.

I'm still on 'go faster'.... My deal runs out in the autumn sometime. Definitely worth contacting Octopus to see of it is still on offer.

If you have an EV tariff with your utility supplier the timer on your smart meter becomes essential. Especially as the MG5 dues not have a smart app.
