jack

A jack is a mechanical lifting device used to apply great forces or lift heavy loads. A mechanical jack employs a screw thread for lifting heavy equipment. A hydraulic jack uses hydraulic power. The most common form is a car jack, floor jack or garage jack, which lifts vehicles so that maintenance can be performed. Jacks are usually rated for a maximum lifting capacity (for example, 1.5 tons or 3 tons). Industrial jacks can be rated for many tons of load.

    Hi all, Just had a test drive in a 2023 low-mileage ZS, when I had a look in the boot there was only a charging cable, nothing else. I know that there isn't a spare tyre, but I thought there should at least be a jack and a tyre repair kit; there were cutouts as if something should go there...

    Silly question, Does the facelift come with a Jack?

    Hi all, Silly question and I know I should have checked when I was in buying it, but does the facelift car come with a jack and wheel brace as well as the tyre repair kit, or not? Just need to know whether I ned to buy a full spare wheel kit, or just a wheel. Thanks.

    Are we allowed to jack up our MG4s

    This may sound like a daft question, but my friend has an EV (Polestar 2), and he has been told specifically he is not allowed to jack it up. I need to jack my MG4 up because I have a flat tyre, the car is at home, and I want to take wheel off, so I can take it to tyre place to get a replacement.
