proximity sensor fault

A **proximity sensor fault** is a condition in which a proximity sensor fails to correctly detect or report the presence, absence, or distance of an object within its intended sensing range. This fault can result from hardware defects, wiring or power issues, misalignment, contamination, environmental interference, or software/calibration errors, leading to inaccurate, inconsistent, or missing sensor signals.

    Continuous beep when selecting reverse.

Recently, my 2022 ZS EV has developed this fault each time reverse is selected, even with no obstruction behind or approaching hazard. Any ideas why?
