2020 ZS EV not charging on schedule

Hello, as the cost of overnight electricity is now much cheaper I am keen to charge on a schedule. However, I've tried a couple of times and it does not charge at the specific time. My charger app says it's waiting for the car. If I unlock the car and relock it the charge kicks in and works fine.
I spoke to a dealer who said I can overcome this by scheduling with the i-smart app. I've downloaded the app and registered, but now I cannot find a QR code anywhere! I've spent the last two days searching the screen and Google searching, to no avail.
I have a 20 plate MG ZS EV which I bought second-hand.

Hi, it's an Alfen smart charger, which I run via the Hive App. So I can set the schedule on Hive but unfortunately the car seems to go to sleep and doesn't start charging at the allotted time.

It might be worth checking with your MG dealer to see if all the software updates have been done as I think there may have been something about the car going to sleep.

If it hasn't had the update (like mine hasn't) then you have to plug the car in nearer the scheduled time. I usually plug mine in less than 2 hours before the schedule start time on my Podpoint charger and it works ok.
