Finally some proper incentives for EV purchase have been announced by the NSW state government (the ACT has had good incentives for a while but it's a very small market). The federal government is still thoroughly opposed.

After September 1 there will be a $3,000 subsidy and stamp duty will be waived. That means an MG ZS EV will cost $39,700, nearly 10% off the current price and quite close to some rival ICE SUVs. They will also invest in a lot more rapid chargers.

About time!

I must say I am constantly amazed by the attitude of the Australian governments attitude to EV's.

For such a young country, they should be thinking more about the future of their young citizens, rather than digging up vast quantities of coal!
