I had a new experience yesterday. I was driving along a main road when a pushbike pulled out reasonably quickly from a side road and eased into the traffic flow in front of me. Although he didn't pull directly in front of me, the car detected him coming in from the side (about 10m in front) and applied emergency braking for a split second. Apart from scaring me more than the bike did, I had just removed my left hand slightly off the wheel, and it made the side of my thumb hit the steering wheel enough to cause discomfort. Anyone else had anything like this happened?

At least it proves the collision warning system works and it's always watching!

A similar thing happened to me while getting out of an underground parking, where the emergency brake was applied way too early, since I had already seen the pedestrian and was moving slowly out.
