Blank screen

Hi my right hand screen is black on my mg s5. It’s shows battery percentage and the regen info but the rest is black. Can’t see what speed I’m going. Nothing on it all. Infotainment system all ok. Any ideas

Is it like this every time you lock the car up and then open it up again?
You could try disconnecting the 12V battery.

Yes. Locked/unlocked 4 times now hoping it will reset. Not sure I will be able to disconnect the battery. Will just phone dealership

Probably best, it's under the warranty so let them do the work

Weird. Drove it to the supermarket today. Still blank screen. Tried doing cruise control thinking that might reset it. Obviously doesn’t work. Can’t see speed but still getting the sounds when a change of speed limit or I go over the speed limit but no visual. Parked up, shopped. Returned to car and screen operating as normal. Weird!!!

It may be worth trying a reset of the Infotainment system, not sure if they are linked or not. Press and hold the home button for about 10 seconds until the infotainment resets.

Did that yesterday but didn’t solve it. Strange how it’s rectified itself.

Ask them to ensure all modules are up to date on software, I had a number of strange issues particularly with ADAS and really had to push them to update it and prove to me they had with print outs. Since this was completed about 10 days ago the car has behaved very well. Software can be a right pain particularly in early production of a new model.

Update. After 3 visits to the dealership they realised it must be a faulty screen. They have replaced it and all seems fine
