Broken charge connector plate (FL)

Hi,
The local garage pointed out that the backplate of the front charger connectors is cracked and broken. They asked if I had had an accident, which I haven't. I have parked several times in a narrow hospital car park, but there is no sign of any damage to the flap. I noticed that flap didn't close properly but not the internal damage.
Has anyone experienced or heard about the backplates cracking?

Mine has been cracked for over a year now.
