Welcome to the forum. You wouldn't be the first person to ask that sort of question, then back it up with the fact Tesla can shut the car down over the air if they think you have been getting work done outside the Tesla network.
There was a time that the Tesla motors and controllers were bricked by Tesla over the air as soon as they were deemed to be a Write off, but there are aftermarket boards now available to give Tesla the flick and reuse the motors and controllers and program them how ever you want ....... but that won't be any help for the rest of the Tesla gear in a Tesla vehicle
To the forum. There are a few aftermarket warranty firms. Check um out out, and see what's best. Or as I've read a few times on different forums. Whatever the warranty would cost, put that each away each month. For possible repairs. Surprising how it would mount up. And if nowt goes wrong, which it probably won't, you'll be quids in when you sell it.
