Dead key fob

Peeps,

Having issues with a key fob that’s no longer recognised by my facelift MG5.

I’ve replaced the battery but still no go and the car is booked in to a garage to sort (but that’s 3 weeks away). So any tips or tricks you know about that I could try to see if the fob will come back to the world of the living?

Take it the 2nd key is working fine?

Could be the first key that works fine But yes, one of the two is as dead as my sense of humour was when the child went to work with the working key last week while we were stuck in the car with the dead key

I’ve just had a similar situation, my key suddenly didn’t work and I couldn’t get the car started for nearly 3 hours. Then suddenly decided to start working again. Not great with the wife and kids and dog in the car stuck in a car park with nothing to do on a sunny day…! (MG5 Trophy)
