I am thinking of changing my MG ZS EV Exclusive mk1 for a MG S5 Trophy. As I have a spare wheel for my ZS EV I am wondering if it would fit a MG S5 Trophy, does anybody know?

The spare wheel you have, it is the MG space saver type ?.
If so, then yes it will on the car okay and it will JUST fit under the boot floor cover, on its highest setting.
Remember that the MGS5 has no spare wheel well formed into the body shell, unlike that in the ZS EV models.
The S5 Trophy wheels are 18" while the ZS EV space saver is only 16" so it is going to look a bit strange on the car though.
I think a 18" rim space saver set is a better fit tbh.
If you decide to go for the S5 you are going to see a HUGE difference from your ZS EV Mk1.
We have owned both models of the ZS EV and the S5 improvements are extremely welcomed.
You will not be disappointed.

Many Thanks for that.
It is an MG space saver. Just wanted to know if the bolt spacings were the same and it would clear the brake disc. As it's only for emergencies and I have has bad experiences with the Tyre sealer gunk. I will keep it out of my ZS and give it a try when I get the S5, if it looks unsafe/stupid I will sell it and buy an 18inch space saver.
I had a test drive in an S5 today and agree with you it feels a much more 'grown up' car, definitely getting a pre reg one.
I also sat in the S6 in the showroom and it seems another step on in quality, but too big for my garage, (and too expensive for me)!

Yeah - It is the same stud spacing as your current ZS EV so no problem there then.
The ZS EV used different wheel hubs from the previous ICE ZS models.
They decided to use the stronger heavy duty hubs from the older HS on the ZS EV instead.
Because the larger hubs from the HS model, had larger / stronger wheel bearings.
This helped accommodate the heavier load placed on the bearings, from the weight of the high voltage battery pack.
MG originally sold the space saver for the ZS ICE model, to the new owners of the ZS EV and soon discovered it would not fit.
So MG removed the kit from sale and quickly issued a new part number with a kit that would fit the car correctly !.
Other members of the forum have fitted the space saver from their ZS EVs and of course they fit okay.
However the car does look a bit strange when it’s installed given the wheel size difference.
I guess it really depends on just how far you intended to travel safely on one of these space savers ?.
Not too far would be my strong suggestion !.
Of course a “full sized” spare is the correct way to go really, but it is going to take up SO much space in the boot, for really long periods of time without use.
Let me know if A you get the S5 and how you find it over the ZS EV ?.
And then, how you view the car with the ZS EV space saver fitted ( if you decide to buy one ).
