Still loving everything about my S6 (tailgate not opening fully notwithstanding - I'm living with it at the moment and it's causing little bother)
What I am experiencing, however, is a persistent drivers door rattle. If the window is open even just a couple of millimeters, it does not rattle. But when closed (so almost 100% of the time) there's an mildly annoying rattle - my guess is that the rubber sealant is not tight enough at the top of the frame.
I know it's a heavier car than I'd normally have, and the ride is on the firm side (as I like it) but this is a surprise to me.
A quick spray with silicone has not fixed it, so when I can be bothered to take the car back re the tailgate I'll get that looked at too. First world problem, I know, and it's not stopping me enjoy what truly is a fantastic car. Anybody else had this experience or even have a quick fix?

Not had experience of a rattle, but have had the tailgate.

Sounds like the window regulator may need adjusting to fully close it, would be something only the dealer could do IMPO.

An update for anyone with the same issue. Back to the dealer again (re the tailgate issue where they have found a fault and are to replace one of the struts - good news) and at the same time they looked at the driver's door rattle (which has been getting on my nerves a bit). They reckon it is the regulator and will replace under warranty.

What's the regulator? Also, who is your dealer? I think I'll happily travel to have my car fixed by them since everything is always covered ...😂

Just wanted to share my experience with a few issues I’ve had.

I’ve also been affected by a door rattle, but perhaps with a different issue. On mine the front passenger inner door handle had play and you could jolt the entire door card.. I've had the general intermittent tailgate problem everyone has, the nearside mirror randomly not folding, the nearside front door having a loose inner door card, Bluetooth phone calls dropping on different devices, and the mirror adjustment randomly changing position. I've also now noticed at 5,500 miles the roof and door seals are a little squeaky on rougher B roads.

The car went into the dealer for the first time a couple of weeks ago to look at all this. They found that the front door was missing a couple of internal clips, so that no longer rattles. They also carried out a “big” software update on the media centre, which does seem to have ironed out some of the glitchy bugs so far. I’ve since had a long phone call without the microphone dropping, so fingers crossed that issue is fixed. However, the mirrors are still randomly changing position.

The tailgate also had a software update and, so far, it has been working well. However, I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed this: quite often, when the boot closes, it slows down just before shutting so the locking mechanism can catch and pull it tight. But maybe around 50% of the time, it closes with more of a thump, and the lock makes a different noise.

I’ve also noticed that since the update, if you try to open the tailgate remotely from the screen but forget to put the car in Park, it opens very slightly, then stops and tells you to press P. That’s fine, but before the update it simply wouldn’t open at all in that situation, which actually made more sense.

Admittedly, that last point is only a small issue, but overall it does feel like MG are still struggling to get the software right on this car.

On the whole, I'm still very happy with the car, but these niggles spoil the overall experience.

Out of the dealership yesterday. Regulator replaced and.....no more rattles!

Not had any of those issues. I've also had the latest software update, and since I haven't had any software issues before, it didn't change anything, except one thing, that I find really annoying, and a bit of a downgrade!
Before the navi showed an icon with speed limit and your current GPS speed. Since the update, both are gone, and I've checked every setting but nothing there.

Quite annoying.

I remembered this post and checked my MG navigation yesterday, I don't have speed limit icon and current GPS speed displayed on the screen (only on HUD) and I didn't have any software updates (unless something came OTA).

Got speed limit showing on navi now, but GPS speed is gone.
What's your MPU software version? You find it in settings - system
I now have R42 (which I belive is the newest). Previously on R33

Mine is still R38 from new. Check your ISA version (on the same screen), that looks like navigation version software (that's the format I've seen on my old ZS), my version is 2024Q4 (which should be quarter 4 of 2024). EDIT: just seen your screen and it's the same 2024Q4; TBOX (whatever that is) version is also the same as mine ...

Where are the speed limit sign and GPS speed info shown on the navigation screen, I don't remember ever having either of them.

Bottom driver side. You have to select it in the navi settings.
