A new milestone is reached.
BEV sales last year was 54,3% of all new cars sold!
Witch means that more than every other car sold was an battery electric car! And if you add inn the hybrids the numbers are even better. (But as we're aiming for only zero emission new cars by 2025 we don't count those)

Bev : 54,3% - Phevs : 20,4% and Hybrids : 8,6%
Then you got Diesel on 8,6% and petrol on 8%.
(15 hydrogen and 5 lpg aswell)

The MG ended up on 8th place, with 3720 cars sold last year, with a total of 141 412 sold/registerd cars.
What a milestone to reach!

Very positive. Are there large incentives to buy electric in Norway compared to elsewhere? What’s the charging infrastructure like?

There have been huge incentives to get us buying electric vehicles here in Norway, with massive tax reductions being the primary source, but have had other perks aswell, like being able to drive in bus lanes, and no or cheaper congestion charge, and toll boots.

The infrastructure is so so.. arround the bigger cities, and in the southern parts it's not bad, up north... Well, I'm not surprised that the northern most part have the least amount of ev.

Is it right, this transformation happened over the course of just 10 years, with very few electric cars sold prior to 2011?

What is the strategy to phase out the existing ICE stock?

Seeing that quite some CO2 emissions are 'sunk' in the production of existing ICE vehicles, when does it make sense to scrap them, after how many years of use?

I wonder if there are any political initiatives anywhere in the world aimed at forcing ICE car makers to only sell vehicles that are designed to be easily converted into EVs?

What happened with Tesla Model 3? #1 seller in December 2020, #25 in January 2021. Hmmm...

Glad to see the ZS EV is holding up, #8 in Jan 2021 :)
