Fitted a short aerial to my ZS EV and still retain good DAB radio signal. Not bad for £4.74.

Unscrew old whip and fit adapter and screw in new antenna

Nice, but you was robbed.... @Srp111 only paid £4.69 :)

Get one of these, doesn't make any difference to signal and looks a lot better.

I quite like the idea of the colour coded ones..

I was going to fit a shark fin cover, but the existing base is too wide for most and goes too far back. :(

Only £4 if you call into their unit in Wolverhampton':p

I dont think simply unscrewing the whip aerial tip and screwing a shorter whip in would void anything. The original is designed to be unscrewed for car washes or getting parked in your garage.

It will make it more attractive to thieves...

Thieves are hardly going to steal the car for the aerial and if they steal the aerial you wouldn't claim for £4.37 off your insurance.

I got a package with 2 sizes. will try the smaller first 3.5cm. If need more excitement then try the bigger masculine 8cm one.
If reception is alright, I might even try a flat black screw head later.
My car gets so dusty only washed it a week ago with autoglym seal.

You can all save money... remove the aerial altogether... On visiting a car wash I removed the aerial and was surprised when days after I found it still in the boot. I had no problems listening to the radio (I only tune to 3 DAB stations) no problem. Imagine the savings on the drag coefficient... :)

I've found that after fitting one of these aerials I'm getting 0.05 of a mile less on a full charge.
Yes !.
But has it increased your 0 - 60 MPH figures in order to fend off them “White Van Men”.
I am sure they would race their own shadows.
Soft buggers !.

When I checked the link and the 'compatibility list' (out of boredom) it came up as not suitable for the EV - and it was a bold red warning too! Maybe planted by the Insurance Police.

I'm getting antenna envy! 😁 I didn't realise till now that overseas, you have long antennas; we get shark fins. I guess it's something to do with the availability of digital radio. I suspect that those who leave the antenna off will get drop-outs sooner than those who leave them on.
