My HS PHEV was in getting some damage repaired that someone else caused, and I was given an MG3. Inside I was pleasantly surprised by the two screens with all the infotainment etc, very similar to the HS really. It was a 1.5 petrol and only a 5 speed gearbox which I don't think is good enough really. I could change up to 5th at around 37mph and it was about 1500rpm so it's probably pretty noisy at motorway speeds (I didnt take it on the motorway).
Handling felt quite disappointing - no real feel to the steering, It wasnt particularly bad handling just not very exciting at all. I'm not that keen on the front styling either - it's quite sculpted but it serves no real purpose - gaps are filled in with black plastic which makes it a bit pointless.
I suppose it's a cheap car and it isn't too bad. Oh one thing I noticed is it has one USB-A socket which is for the infotainment and one USB-C for power only. Trying to charge my phone with the USB-C achieved an increase of 4% on a half hour drive, which didn't impress me! Not sure why the HS has two USB-A sockets.
