New S5 owner here, and lots of 'how do I' questions. Hopefully some of the gurus here will be kind enough to answer.

The easy one first - how do I get it to switch the interior lights on when I open the door? I’ve been through all the menu options on the screen, so I’m guessing there’s a switch somewhere.

There are lots of things that I think probably can’t be done. Like making the radio cycle just between my favourite stations.

Also is there any way to make the voice recognition work in a remotely useful manner?

How about making the 360° cameras a bit better in low light?

I tried the switch just above my head and it turned out to be some sort of emergency call button that you can’t cancel when you realise that it’s not the button you meant to press.

Here you go, these pages are taken from the manual.

Don’t forget, the manual is not exclusive to the U.K. so some items ( like the sun roof button ) will NOT be applicable 👍.
I do hate that. Is it too much to ask for separate manuals for the car you have bought instead of having to skip through pages of useless information until you figure out which one is the one you want?

Waste of time as most owners don't read it anyway as shown by some of the questions asked on the forums 😁

The problem is that some features can get removed for U.K. markets and not for Europe.
E.g. - The full sky roof is standard fitment for other countries, but not the U.K.
Hence why you see the roof control button shown in the manual.
Don’t forget, the car has the manual built in the head unit and in the Ismart App on your phone at the bottom of the Home Screen ( See photo ).
Sometimes the manufacture can add or remove features also at will.
This was evident on the ZS EV Gen2 when MG decided to just remove the full Sky roof from the high end model but not reduce the price.
This is not just MG - other manufacturers do the same.
Switching and changing the manual for certain countries and build requirements is just not practical unfortunately, so they include everything and you have to work it out for yourself.
Body colours are the same also.
The shade of blue used in other countries is completely different on certain models, hence the need to use a colour code sticker on your car.
