Seems to have some good features, looking forward to seeing the pricing.

I wonder if you'd ba able to sit in the car and watch FreeView whilst you charge? :)

I've had two Humax Freesat boxes and they both failed.
Not a brand name I'd go for.
Mine is 16 years old and still works, on the original 500GB HDD. Win some lose some.

I suspect "Humax" don't make anything.

There is an ancient HUMAX free view recorder at my mother’s that has been used for years. Specifically bought as they kept a serial port on the back as the updates on freeview were somewhat restrained in how long they broadcast. Good piece of kit.

As with all chargers - not fussed about the physical bits too much. It’s their servers now they must be connected could be a right pain in future if they go bump and you can’t access much locally (pretty sure there is something in the new regs that they must remain usable but not sure if that means they would go completely dumb).

I have a BT Youview HD DVB/DVR box in the spare bedroom that's just a rebranded Humax box. It's at least 10 years old and still working fine.
