Infotainment Screen Auto Dark/Light Mode Switch?

Research so far does not have a clear answer. Does the infotainment screen auto switch between dark and light mode depending on whether the headlights are on? It is really annoying having to go through the menu every time you want to switch between the 2. Driving down dark country lanes dark mode with brightness set low works great but then on a sunny day you need day mode with high brightness. So fat this is the only car that does not seem to switch between the 2.

My original MG4 has an option of setting the Theme to Light / Dark / Auto. I'd be amazed if the Urban didn't do likewise.

(As it happens, I leave mine permanently set to Dark theme).

it doesn't auto switch. neither do the mgs5 mgs6 and i bet the 2026 mg4
It does however keep two brightness levels for when the lights are on and when the lights are off so that should work for you.
in fact i didn't much like the auto switch, i would prefer a drop down menu toggle tbh
