Hi everyone, Just bought an MG ZS Hybrid+ a week ago, I have been trying to open an account on ismart app but as soon as I get to the password screen it wont let me continue I have put in a password that is long enough with the right mixture of letters and numbers but it still wont let me go any further.
I have been trying to do this for over a week with the same results, has anyone else had this and am I missing something getting really frustrated with the app now.

Hi Terry. I had an absolute nightmare with the MG iSmart app earlier this year on my old phone (Google Pixel 6). Worked when I bought the car in February but after an app update, it just crashed as you described. I tried it on my Apple iPad and it worked perfectly (although not at all practical). I have since upgraded my phone to a Google Pixel 10 and the app works as expected on this phone.
I suspect MG aren't too concerned about maintaining backwards compatibility with 'old' software on 'old' phones. Frustrating.

I'm using it on iPhone (a 15 PM), and it works reliably; More reliable than the Kia App I had before (which could just heat the steering wheel and not seats, wouldn't connect over the majority of WiFis and often just had a server timeout); Whilst the functions are limited, they are at least somehow at a glance by now and tend o work as intended; Already saved my life once when I just unlocked just the boot, threw in my bag with the car keys in it and closed the boot, and the car wouldn't produce the warning (keys inside) as it does with other doors (a honk), just shut the car; App worked like a charm
 
Hi, thanks for your replies, I finally got on the app and connected it to my car the problem was caused by me adding a special character to the password.
the only thing that doesn't seem to be happening is it wont download my manual for the car but I will keep plugging away.
I only just got the car so am a bit unfamiliar with it yet but like it a lot so far.
My phone is a galaxy s25 ultra so wouldn't expect this to be the problem.
