Key fob battery

Yesterday and today I had to use the NFC card because the key wasn’t working. I figured the battery was dead after only six months. The person that designed the fob likely never disassembled it. It is without a doubt the most user hostile fob on which I have changed the battery. Good Grief!!! Anyway, the new battery fixed the problem and all is well again. I am just surprised it died so quickly. I just wonder if anyone else has had short battery life.

I have seen a couple of posts about battery failure. Did you use the instructions in the manual to change the battery?
