Hopeless response I received from MG UK customer services to an ongoing request for something to sort the high RPM situation we all have. Appears that the factory does not have an answer and is not going to investigate further. Think it's about time this fault was made public to warn future purchasers of the ZS Hybrid of what they are likely to experience when going up a slight incline, or do we wait until in an overtaking situation, the power is not there to make a safe manoeuvre.

I have communicated with our head office regarding this,
We have been advised this is now a characteristic of the vehicle and not a fault of the vehicle,
When your vehicle does rev up you might feel that this is a fault, please note this is the hybrid system working and generating power to the motor of the vehicle.
If the vehicle suspects that it is low on battery or climbing a hill as an example this will cause the hybrid to use its system to generate more power.
As this isn’t a fault of the vehicle and a characteristic, we wouldn’t be able to advise further.
If you wish to speak to your local MG dealership, they will be able to advise you further.
