Hats off to James Gaymer for this guide..not sure if he is on here.
I Installed just the MG4 Control app as that's all im interested in having, and I have to say it's fantastic.
Saves your preferences for drive modes and lane assist etc. And defaults on everytime you drive if desired.
Can even turn off regen mode totally rather than the lowest 1 setting as factory.
Set mine to always start car in Eco mode and Regen 1, Lane assist off, speed limiter noise off.
And saved Sport mode to have regen off.
But you can still toggle regen settings as per normal as you drive.
I am not quite as techy minded like I used to be. But it wasn't difficult to do using a USB flash drive.
It can also be deleted and reinstalled if you are worried about affecting warranty if a dealer notices,
Although it's not seen on the screen menu.... To access the control app press and hold one of the steering wheel star buttons that you choose.
Note, to get into the car hidden settings which you need to install the app from flash drive...
My car being newer didn't let me do it like the James' instruction video shows...
I had to go into the music player, select online music and then Amazon,
Then get the on screen keyboard to come up by tapping the username/password box.
Then hold the "@" button for a few seconds and the required special icon then appears above.
Just a minor difference but the rest of the install was easy.
