I have only owned my car for a few weeks and so far have only charged it at home with a Project EV Apex 7S wall charger using MG charging leads.
However, up to now, I have been able to charge in dry weather but now I need to add some charge and it is raining and forecast rain for many hours.
Should I be worried and should I take any precautions?
Thanks

I don't take any special precautions. I just take the caps off the type 2 connectors at the last minute before connecting, and then tuck the cap at the EVSE end under the cover flap, and tuck the cap at the car end to the side of the connector facing downwards. I only do this so if its pouring when disconnecting the caps are dry to put back on the cable ends as soon as possible.
Ditto about making sure the drain is free.

No problem, the high voltage side of the charger is not live until the plug is fully inserted and the low voltage signal pin contacts with the car.

I agree with the comments above but I also believe in belts and braces so use a magnetic cover for the car - to stop the rain and hide the port lights.

One thing to remember is to dry the inside of the plug caps prior to re-fitting them after charging.

£17 is expensive but that's the luxury model. You can get ones for much much cheaper than that. I've also used cling film and a plastic bag with magnetic strip left over from some other DIY. But, as been said, each to their own. I don't like lighting up the car with the port lights.
