Same issue here with the VN error and I have mg4 EU luxury spec 2022

@Kithmo could you clarify

• What's the version number reported in the zip
• what os are you using and what software did you use for the extraction
• how was the usb stick formatted
• the current Navi software version installed on your car (you can see in the navi settings, about page)

I'm on 6.2.60.1.45160 with currently maps 22Q2 202208040318

Version.txt file says:

Yes, they do. The update doesn't even start

Should be something like: 6.2.60.1.45160

We need to see if anyone else on a Nav version lower than 6.2.60.1.45160 can still load the maps.

@BingBong as you are one of the few on R59, care to post the Navi Software version and map version installed?

I've a hunch that us with R46 are on a different "branch" of the navi software as it lacks the -P suffix I've seen previously:

6.2.60.1.41418-P

6.2.60.1.41686-P

So, it may be the updated Nav software that is not loading the new maps?
We need to see if anyone else on a Nav version lower than 6.2.60.1.45160 can still load the maps.

Looks like it, another user with a "lower" version confirmed that he updated just fine

Well there goes my hypothesis of the -P suffix having some sort of meaning. I guess we are left with "our navi engine is too new for this map update"

I think it would also be helpful to know the content of the text files in the "maps" directory ("file_verification" and "Version.txt“)

File_verification is huge string. Mine ends with qu9g

I just got a confirmation of a succesfull installation with an infotainment version R24. Below R40 again...
I think Benysar is correct.

And another one with R30 successfully installed.

R59 is not going to be released soon according to my dealer. It is however supposed to have another LKA update ...

I updated the maps in my Trophy (R33) today. After hours downloading and extracting, the data needed about 40 minutes to update the maps. I was concerned after I plugged in the USB drive to view greyed-out text asking me to select a resource in a window with a lit Cancel button but it came good in the end without intervention. I attach a series of images from the sequence.
